      A question from Peter Favier

Recently bought Russian Postal censorship 1914-18 in which it states that up to 1918 Russia was using the Julian calendar, so in 1914 it was 13 days behind the Gregorian calendar. An obvious question were all the postmarks in 1914-17 using the Julian calendar dates?

in Russia the Gregorian calendar was introduced on november 1st (jul) / 14th november (greg). So all marks until this date shows an julian date.
