Dear Friends of Ray Ceresa,
It is with much sadness that we are writing to let you know that Ray Ceresa passed away on Saturday 10 June in St Richard of Chichester Hospital, West Sussex, UK. It was a very peaceful and dignified passing, and we were able to be with him to the end. We are immensely grateful to the hospital staff who were outstanding in their care of dad and support for us throughout.
We do not have a comprehensive list of all of dad’s philatelic friends and contacts, so please feel free to share the news of Ray’s passing with anyone who you think might know him and who would like to know.
We want to thank you for your friendship with dad. We know how much stamp collecting and his fellow philatelists meant to him. He relished your enthusiasm, he respected your expertise and enjoyed deeply your friendships and fellowship. In time, we will be looking to find ways in which to celebrate and commemorate his knowledge and achievements in the area of Russian philately.
Kind regards,
Andrew, Dianne and Penny
